Investigations and diagnosis

In the event of suspected cancer, we can organize and coordinate all the necessary diagnostic tests. Depending on the modalities required (e.g. CT, MRI,PET scans, biopsies), our network of partners and technical facilities can provide you with personalized, rapid and comprehensive care.

Multidisciplinary discussions (Tumor Board) are held at Clinique Générale-Beaulieu and in the canton, to collectively define your ideal care.

Treatments

Treatments are proposed and individualized according to the cancer, its characteristics and location, as well as your personal preferences.

Here are a few examples of treatments that can be administered, alone or in combination:

Chemotherapy: oral or intravenous medication that attacks the replication of tumor cells in order to destroy them. Chemotherapy does not necessarily mean hair loss or vomiting. Reach out to us for more details.

Immunotherapy: medication administered by vein or subcutaneously, enabling your immune system to fight the cancer present.

Targeted therapy: by mouth, injected under the skin, or by vein, this modality targets a specific feature of the cancer present (e.g. HER2-amplifiedbreast cancer).

Hormone therapy: administered by mouth or by intramuscular injection, aimed at blocking or reducing the effect of hormones that stimulate cancer cell growth.

Antibody-drug conjugate: administered intravenously, combining targeted therapy and low-dose chemotherapy.

Supportive care: applicable to all situations, encompassing a range of treatments designed to alleviate the side effects of treatment or disease and improve quality of life.

Complementary approaches

Our Integrative Medicine Center offers a wide range of complementary therapies to cancer treatments.

A rehabilitation (recovery) program is also available, to improve autonomy and physical fitness before, during or after treatment of any kind (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, etc.).

Follow-up

Depending on the problem and the treatment required, follow-up is personalized (e.g. weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, yearly). Urgent consultations are always possible during the week.

All additional examinations (blood tests, imaging) can be carried out on site.

Your other doctors will, of course, be kept up to date with every stage of your treatment. Joint follow-up with your general practitioner is always recommended. If you don't have one, we can refer you.

Prevention

It is possible to receive personalized advice to preserve your health as much as possible (what physical activity is recommended? is there a place for fasting? what foods should be avoided or eaten? ...).
